Electrical and mechanical equipment inevitably entail fire hazards that need to be proactively managed. Fire can be caused by human error, equipment failure or other sequences of destructive events. Bloomberg takes no chances with disruption to either its operations or its equipment. Such disruption can be caused by fire. An A, B, C, F, class-of-fire suppression system is therefore essential for its key operational assets. Design and install a rapid response automatic fire suppression system to replace the water mist system at Bloomberg’s London HQ. The Fire Engineers mission is to protect both the Diesel Generator and the Battery Room. This has a dual benefit. First, being the protection of the building and its occupants while the power supply to core redundancy equipment remains intact. This is of paramount importance for the uninterrupted operation and services Bloomberg provides. Specifications called for a long-life system with attested performance capabilities.
